• Dangerous \(PM_{2.5}\) Levels: Auto emissions heavily contribute to dangerous levels of fine particulate matter (\(PM_{2.5}\)). These micro-pollutants are easily inhaled, entering the lungs and bloodstream and causing widespread cardiovascular and respiratory diseases.
• Broader Environmental & Health Impacts: The World Health Organization (WHO) has noted that poor air quality heavily threatens the health of local citizens. It is linked to reduced life expectancy, high infant mortality, and massive annual economic losses.
